September 23, 2004 Bellingham, WA -- Power system provider Alpha Technologies has extended its family of pole and ground mount enclosures with the introduction of the PMR and GMR enclosures, specifically designed to support FTTx powering applications.

The PMR-S2 enclosure is a pole mount enclosure with fourteen RU (rack units) in a 19-inch rack, while the GMR-S2 ground mount enclosure system features thirteen RU in a 19-inch rack.

These enclosures are capable of housing rack mount Last-Mile Core processors, Alpha's FlexNet 300 Watt power supply, and AlphaCell 85 GXL batteries, providing over ten hours of standby runtime. Additional benefits include thermostatically controlled 48VDC or 120VDC fan and heater options, adjustable 19-inch EIA equipment racks and AC service entrance.

As with all Alpha outdoor enclosures, each PMR and GMR is made from durable aluminum. The enclosures have a powder coat finish providing protection from the elements and have been thermally engineered for optimal field performance. Each uses stainless steel hardware for optimum service life.
