Optical comparator array

The OPR5010 optical comparator array is designed for use in high-speed encoder applications. The device consists of a 3-channel differential optical comparator IC that is capable of operation to 1 MHz. According to the manufacturer, each channel will operate over a wide range of light levels due to logarithmic amplification of the input signals. It features TTL-compatible outputs and a wide operating supply voltage and temperature range. The package is pin-compatible with the company?s OPR5003B, which allows an upgrade path for existing designs using this device. Pricing is $12.28 each in 1000-piece quantities.
