Loose-tube indoor/outdoor cables

These UV-stabilized, water blocked singlemode and multimode fiber-optic cables are designed for outside-plant and indoor riser applications. The cables are dry water blocked, which is intended to eliminate the need for traditional gel-flooding compounds with the cable core and facilitate termination. The cables are dielectric and, according to the manufacturer, very flexible, enabling installers to bypass the 50-ft rule when entering a building and eliminate the typical transition splice at that point. The fibers are individually color-coded. For high-fiber-count cables, the fibers are grouped in color-coded tubes.
