Gradient index lens
The SLC-series gradient index lens minimizes spherical aberration in singlemode or low NA applications, according to the manufacturer. This new gradient index technology is designed to improve collimation, lower insertion loss, and increase coupling efficiency. The lenses are available in a cylindrical shape. Options include antireflection coatings, angle faceting, and metalization, and the products are available in high volume.
