The Model 1280 GbX Gigabit Ethernet extender eliminates the 5-km distance limitation and stretches local area networks to 100 km. Features include full-duplex bandwidth operation with 2-Gbit/sec throughput, performance with typical bit-error rate of <10-12, and network management and control via an RS-232 port.
