Tellabs (Lisle, IL) announced that MetroRED do Brazil, a data-communications service provider in Brazil, is using Tellabs`s infrastructure equipment and technology for its corporate service network in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. MetroRed do Brazil employs the Tellabs MartisDXX managed access and transport network solution for its triangular fiber-optic network that forms the base of a larger, expanding network. MetroRED will offer low- to high-speed (up to 155-Mbit/sec) data services to corporate clients.
