Public-network platform

The DMS-SPM spectrum peripheral module is a peripheral services platform for public network service providers. The initial phase provides a SONET optical switching interface integrated with the company`s DMS Super Node switching platforms. This direct optical switch interface has echo cancellation functionality. The product is targeted at North American interexchange carriers, local-exchange carriers, regional Bell operating companies, and competitive local-exchange carriers. The first application of the module will provide an OC-3 interface on the DMS family of switching systems, including the DMS-250 long distance, DMS-100 local, DMS-100/200 local/tandem, DMS-500 local/long distance, DMS-300 international gateway, and DMS-global services platform.
