Breezline deepens fiber broadband reach in New Hampshire and West Virginia

Feb. 1, 2024
The provider’s fiber expansion will bring fiber broadband services to 85,000 homes and businesses.

Breezeline is on the build-out path again, expanding its fiber reach in New Hampshire and Virginia and enabling 85,000 locations with service.

Breezeline has built 525 miles of new fiber in New Hampshire to serve Somersworth, Madbury, Dover, Durham and Concord. The service provider has invested over $40 million in the new fiber network, reaching over 45,000 homes and businesses in the five communities.

Studies have shown that improved access to broadband internet can enhance the quality of life in communities, spur business development and growth, and improve socioeconomic outcomes.

Breezeline’s efforts were praised by New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu, who has prioritized expanding broadband access and infrastructure investment in the state. “Quality, affordable internet is essential for work, education, healthcare, business development and active participation in our civic life,” he said.

In Virginia, Breezeline completed the construction phase of a $42 million, 283-mile fiber expansion in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Through this initiative, the provider will offer fiber internet, TV and phone services to nearly 40,000 homes and businesses in Morgantown, Star City, Westover, Granville, Cheat Lake and Brookhaven in Monongalia County.

“Breezeline’s investment in West Virginia brings consumer choice and the benefits of fiber connectivity to many of our communities,” U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito said.
