HFCL: Global Compact Indoor Ribbon Trunk Cables

Feb. 26, 2025
HFCL’s Global Compact Indoor Ribbon Trunk Cable product line incorporates intermittent bonded Ribbon (IBR) technology.

HFCL’s Global Compact Indoor Ribbon Trunk Cable product line incorporates intermittent bonded Ribbon (IBR) technology, which delivers high fiber density and reduced cable diameters compared to legacy flat ribbon designs. Unlike traditional rigid flat ribbons, intermittent bonding between fibers allows the ribbons the flexibility to fill all free space in cables, increasing packing density. These cables cater to hyperscale data centers, telco networks, and other high-density applications, offering flexibility and scalability for current and future network requirements. Available with 12-fiber ribbons for legacy systems or 16-fiber ribbons optimized for future high-speed transmission rates of 200 Gbps and beyond. The product line supports fiber counts ranging from 72 to 864, enabling operators to maximize capacity within a smaller footprint. The cable design has no preferential bending and a low minimum bend radius, allowing for easy handing and routing in congested areas in data centers and central offices.
JUDGE'S COMMENT: "This is a solid, engineered product."
