GoNetspeed connects 12K Stratford, Connecticut, locations with fiber internet
GoNetspeed has connected more than 12,400 Stratford, Connecticut residents and businesses to fiber internet— marking a major milestone as the company completes its $7 million privately funded investment in the community. Stratford now joins a growing network of connected communities as GoNetspeed continues expanding across Connecticut. Stratford joins Ansonia, Bridgeport, Danbury, East Haven, New Haven, Hartford, and more than 40 additional communities already served by GoNetspeed—along with many more currently under construction and on track to receive GoNetspeed’s fiber internet.

Greenlight Networks continues Orange County expansion with Washingtonville, NY fiber build
Greenlight Networks has taken another step forward with its Orange County, New York expansion, activating its fiber network in the Village of Walden, with the final remaining streets expected to be connected toward the end of this summer. The company is also expanding in Orange County, with active construction underway in Washingtonville, where plans are in place to connect nearly 2,300 homes to high-speed fiber Internet by the end of 2026. Greenlight has invested $3.4 million to build out its fiber internet network infrastructure throughout the Village of Walden, bringing access to thousands of households. This latest build reinforces Greenlight’s long-term commitment to strengthening connectivity across Orange County, where the company has invested more than $33.75 million to date. Fiber Internet service is already available in the City of Middletown, Town of Wallkill, City of Port Jervis, Village of Goshen, and now the Village of Walden, with Washingtonville representing the next phase of the company’s regional growth. Construction in Washingtonville is currently underway, with plans to connect nearly 2,300 homes by the end of 2026.

i3 Broadband secures right-of-way approvals in Antioch, Grayslake and Winthrop Harbor in Lake County, Illinois
i3 Broadband has secured right-of-way approvals to deploy its fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network in the Lake County, Illinois, communities of Antioch, Grayslake, and Winthrop Harbor, marking expansion efforts for the provider in Northern Illinois. In addition, i3 Broadband has joined the Lake County Municipal League as an associate member for 2026, further reinforcing the company’s commitment to building long-term partnerships with local governments and regional stakeholders throughout Northern Illinois. The Lake County deployments are part of i3 Broadband’s broader strategy to expand high-speed fiber connectivity throughout Northern Illinois, providing an alternative to legacy cable and copper-based networks. As part of its Lake County expansion, i3 Broadband has joined the Lake County Municipal League to strengthen relationships with local officials and remain engaged in regional policy and planning discussions.

RightFiber invests $50M to bring fiber broadband to North Texas communities
RightFiber is further expanding its fiber internet with a more than $50 million investment in North Texas. Construction on this expansion is underway, with Seagoville the first community to see activity. Residents can expect clear communication during the construction process, including signage, door hangers, mail and door-to-door team members. Any property impacted during installation will be restored to its original condition.

Ripple Fiber celebrates Colorado expansion with ribbon-cutting event
Ripple Fiber is continuing with its Colorado expansion, while reinforcing its local presence in Frederick, Colorado. Joined by the Town of Firestone, the Carbon Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Fort Lupton Chamber of Commerce, and the Broomfield Chamber of Commerce, the provider welcomed community members to its local office for an honorary ribbon-cutting ceremony. Currently providing high-speed fiber internet to over 7,000 homes and businesses throughout Firestone and Fort Lupton, Ripple Fiber is actively expanding throughout the Front Range. Ripple Fiber’s Frederick office features new interior and exterior signage that aligns with the Ripple Fiber brand. These updates follow the 2025 merger with former provider HyperFiber, which entered the Colorado market in 2024. This year, Ripple Fiber expects to grow its Colorado footprint to over 30,000 premises, with parts of Broomfield and surrounding areas currently in preconstruction and active construction.

Spectrum expands fiber broadband network in Clark County, Kentucky 
Spectrum has announced the expansion of its fiber broadband network to bring Spectrum Internet, Mobile, TV and Voice services to over  2,450 additional homes and businesses in previously unserved or underserved areas of Clark County, Kentucky. The cable MSO’s multi-year rural construction initiative is driven by more than $7 billion in private investment from Spectrum. It will ultimately add 100,000+ miles of fiber network infrastructure and deliver symmetrical, multi-gigabit speeds to more than 1.7 million new locations across the country.

WOW!’s Southeastern Alabama fiber build backed by $2.3M ADECA grant
WOW! has completed its fiber buildout in Houston and Henry counties in southeastern Alabama. The expansion of WOW!'s fiber network in these areas was made possible through a $2.39 million grant from the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) and a $1.02 million contribution from WOW!, for a total investment of $3.41 million. The grant, awarded by ADECA in 2024, has enabled WOW! to reach more than 15% of residents and business owners who previously lacked access. New and existing customers in select areas of the towns of Headland, Gordon, Columbia, and Pansey can benefit from Community Support pricing and access to WOW!'s speeds, packages, products, and services.
