Aspire Fiber finalized a $50M investment from Arenova Capital for network expansion
Aspire Fiber, a Southern California-based internet service provider, has secured a $50 million majority investment from Arenova Capital to support 10 Gbps fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) expansion in California. Stephen Weatherford and the Aspire Fiber management team remain significant shareholders and will continue to lead the business. Aspire Fiber launched its first service market in Moorpark, California, late last year and is undergoing active construction in the remainder of Moorpark and nearby Santa Clarita. With its expanded backing, Aspire is actively evaluating and in discussions with additional expansion markets throughout California, partnering with municipalities and local stakeholders to expand access to advanced broadband connectivity and support regional economic development. The provider deploys a next-generation 10 Gbps FTTH network, built primarily underground, to enhance resiliency, future-proof reliability, and community integration.

BAM Broadband extends fiber network to Aurora, Colorado
BAM Broadband has begun construction on a new fiber network in Aurora, Colorado, a milestone in the company’s broader expansion across the Colorado Front Range. Giving consumers and businesses access to symmetrical speeds ranging from 1 Gbps to 8 Gbps, the service will feature a Price Lock Guarantee on every plan, with no data caps and no long-term contracts. The company has highlighted initiatives such as local hiring and discounts for active and retired military personnel and residents aged 65 and older as part of its community-based strategy. Engineering work for the Aurora expansion is already underway, with construction expected to begin in the first neighborhoods in the coming weeks after permit approvals. Slated to continue through 2026 and into 2027, the new network will deliver high-speed fiber internet to thousands of homes and businesses across Aurora, with the first homes expected to be service-ready by mid-2026.

Brightspeed wraps Alabama Wiregrass communities' fiber build
Brightspeed has completed construction of its fiber network in more than a dozen communities in Alabama’s Wiregrass region, including Abbeville, Ariton, Columbia, Daleville, Dothan, Elba, Enterprise, Hartford, Headland, New Brockton, Newton, Samson and Slocumb. Now, over 67,000 homes and businesses in those communities have access to Brightspeed’s fiber broadband service. With construction now complete, Brightspeed is shifting its focus to helping residents and businesses get connected. Brightspeed’s expansion in Alabama is supported by both private investment and public funding partnerships. Alabama recently awarded Brightspeed more than $14.3 million in federal Broadband Equity Access and Deployment (BEAD) program funding to augment its private investment in building its fiber network, reaching another 4,407 locations in the state. Additionally, Alabama awarded Brightspeed more than $597,000 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to provide high-speed connectivity to 945 Alabamians who don’t have it today. Once construction is complete, Brightspeed Fiber Internet will reach nearly 247,000 homes and businesses statewide.
