ZTE’s WaveMind AI x Wi-Fi 7 is an AI-powered Wi-Fi 7 CPE that leverages large AI models—such as ZTE Nebula Telecom Large Model or third-party models—to orchestrate computing power scheduling, while integrating lightweight AI at the device level within the home. This enables 24/7 network optimization, seamless roaming, and customized application acceleration, alleviating users’ concerns about network performance. By predicting user needs and offering tailored solutions, it aims to make the home router a partner that “understands” the consumer by proactively shaping a comfortable and secure living experience based on the user’s environment and habits. In addition, operators can unlock new revenue streams by monetizing AI applications through a diverse range of service packages and feature-based subscriptions. For example, QoS-related offerings such as smart antennas, roaming engines, and acceleration engines can be bundled with various broadband plans and provided as monthly paid options.
