InSiGa: 56Gbaud/s 8-channel MZ DRV + TIA Chipset (ISG-D5680 & T5783)

InSiGa has introduced a high-density 8X100G MZ Driver (ISG-D5680) & TIA (ISG-T5783) chipset for co-packaged optics (CPO), linear pluggable optics (LPO), PCIe Gen5/6, and 800G DR8 applications, addressing power dissipation and component-size bottlenecks in optical modules. It can deliver an output swing of up to 3.5 Vpp in linear mode with low Total Harmonic Distortion (THD). The driver offers InSiGa’s patented control of Silicon PIC bias point by automatically adjusting heater current based on Si PIC MPD. ISG-D5680 provides adjustable low- and high-frequency equalization to compensate for losses on the PCB and host side. A flip-chip driver offers a compact solution for applications such as 800G DR8 and 800G LPO. Two of these drivers can be used in 16-channel PCIe Gen5/Gen6 applications, while four of these drivers can allow the design of compact 3.2 Tbps CPO/NPO engines.
