Coherent: WaveAnalyzer 200B Portable Optical Spectrum Analyzer

Coherent’s WaveAnalyzer 200B Portable Optical Spectrum Analyzer is a battery-powered instrument that provides spectral measurements across the Super C-Band with a resolution bandwidth of 650 MHz. This performance enables detailed spectral analysis of next-generation optical systems designed to meet the AI-driven increase in bandwidth demands in Data Center Interconnects (DCIs) and long-haul telecom applications. Precise spectral analysis is increasingly important in DCIs as they evolve toward multi-wavelength connections managed by Wavelength Selective Switches (WSS). The instrument's fine optical resolution makes it well-suited for network turn-up and maintenance applications that require accurate measurements of channel frequency, channel power, and OSNR. The fine resolution bandwidth of 650 MHz makes the instrument particularly suitable to analyze the modulation scheme of optical channels, detect possible carriers (caused by modulation imbalances), or measure the OSNR of densely spaced carriers.
