VeEX: Field Replaceable Optical Connector Protector System

A patent-pending Field Replaceable Ferrule in VeEX’s Optical Connector Protector System provides a cost-efficient, easy, and fast method to replace an optical connector’s outer (sacrificial) end face once it becomes damaged. The replaceable ferrule arrives pre-cleaned and vacuum-sealed, reducing process steps. It is keyed for proper placement in the connector assembly, reducing the risk of errors and minimizing insertion loss. The Field Replaceable Optical Connector Protector is available on most VeEX optical test and measurement products and can also be retrofitted to existing instruments due to its standard panel-mount design.
