Ribbon: Muse Network Planner

Feb. 6, 2022
Ribbon’s Muse Online Network Planner addresses operators' needs by producing optimized IP-optical networks, based on customer tunable parameters for cost, performance (e.g., hops, latency, OSNR), and survivability.
Communications service providers need to maximize the return on their network capital investment, while still being confident their network is robust and can scale smoothly as traffic demands grow and shift. Ribbon’s Muse Online Network Planner addresses these needs by producing optimized IP-optical networks, based on customer tunable parameters for cost, performance (e.g., hops, latency, OSNR), and survivability. Muse Network Planner is a key application of Muse SDN Orchestrator, which allows communications service providers to launch new services and drive new revenue streams quickly.

Judge’s Comment: “Real-time insights and control over packets and optical network infrastructure are key to network efficiency, and the Muse Network Planner can now be operated directly by customers and with support for third-party vendors.”
