August 15, 2005 Hayward, CA -- Valdor Fiber Optics announced that it has recently entered into a strategic alliance with Titan Photonics, to help promote and launch applications of Valdor's HeptoPort product line for FTTP and FTTH markets.

Valdor specializes in the design and manufacture of fiber-optic connectors, ferrules, splices, CWDMs, DWDMs and other optical and optoelectronic components. The company's HeptoPort products employ its "Impact Mount" technology and include devices for DWDM and CWDM applications, including the company's Isolator and Tri-HeptoWave WDM 1310/1490/1550 products. The company says the products can significantly reduce total add/drop cost and space by up to a factor of three.

Titan, founded in 2001, provides application engineering and sales and marketing services in the markets for optical components and network subsystems for FTTH and CATV systems, as well as for metro and long haul access networks.
