Sri Lanka Telecom picks Juniper routing platform
December 8, 2005 Sunnyvale, CA -- Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) has deployed Juniper Networks' M-series multiservice routers to enhance its network and to provide advanced IP services to premium and corporate customers. The Juniper M-series was implemented to replace legacy gateway routers in SLT's network, enabling the operator to achieve higher network performance and reliability.

Juniper says its M-series multiservice routing platform supports a full range of advanced IP services for the operator's premium and business customers, including ADSL, VoIP, and IP VPN services. The company says the M-series provides line-rate performance at high speeds with advanced QoS and class of service filters, enabling SLT to offer assured performance for its advanced services as new services are added.
Juniper also says the M-series multiservice edge routing platform supports a comprehensive VPN portfolio, and supports rich Layer 2 services including ATM, Frame Relay, and Ethernet, as well as comprehensive Layer 3 services and integrated firewall and data encryption protection.
