Fusion splicer

The E-2000 Fusion splicer lets installers terminate E-2000 connectors in the field without epoxy, curing, or polishing. Consisting of a preassembled connector with a factory-terminated fiber stub, the E- 2000 Fusion is terminated directly onto fiber with a fusion splice. The fiber stub is core-centered and factory-polished to company specifications. Models come with singlemode or GI multimode fiber stubs and a choice of 0° PC or 8° acp endface polishes. The battery-operated unit enables E-2000 Fusion connectors to be terminated directly onto 900-micron secondary-coated fiber or 2.1- to 3.5-mm jacketed cable.
