Fusion splicers

The bfs-40ccd and bfs-60ccd fusion splicers splice singlemode and multimode fiber for fddi and lan installations. Average loss for multimode and singlemode fiber is 0.03 and 0.05 dB, respectively. The portable devices feature an integral battery, AC charger, and heat oven. They come with firmware to provide full-splice parameter programmability. The bfs-60ppf/ccd unit splices polarization-preserving fibers. The bfs-60ppf/ccd device incorporates two fully rotational fiber-clamping stages for ppf lobe alignment.
