The Stimax line of WDMs for use in the 1550-nm telecommunications band has been extended to 64 channels and 50-GHz spacing for singlemode fiber. Full capacity is achieved by combining two 32-channel, 100-GHz spacing devices. Low crosstalk enables full bidirectional transmission. Applications include transmission, routing, add/drop multiplexing, and crossconnects.
