The MiniMass automatic fusion splicer joins singlemode and multimode fibers with a typical splice loss of less than 0.1 dB for identical singlemode fiber. The unit comes equipped to splice 1- to 12-fiber ribbons. An optional case provides a workstation capability for mounting a heat-shrink oven, splice-tray holder, fiber cleaver, and thermal stripper.
