    ATM fiber-optic extender

    The MegaCell fiber-optic extender and converter enables transmission of ATM, Sonet, and SDH data at rates between 34 to 400 Mbits/sec over distances to 120 km (1550 nm). The system supports conversion from singlemode to multimode fiber, from optical to electrical, and from electrical to optical. Applications include extending ATM transmission distances, connecting dissimilar fiber types, and regenerating optical signals.
