pin photodiode

This pigtailed catv pin photodiode is designed for analog-receiver, return-path cable-TV, and interactive-communications applications. The photodiode features low second-order intermodulation distortion and low backreflection, according to the manufacturer, which help it achieve the high snr required for high-performance analog communications. This InGaAs pin photodiode device is sensitive to wavelengths of 1300 and 1500 nm to support intermediate- to long-range communications. It can be used in AM fiber-optic cable-TV receivers to 860 MHz and supports multichannel video transmission so that several channels of video can be sent over the same fiber. The device is qualified for temperatures ranging from -40 to +85C. The pigtail is terminated with an sc/apc connector.
