Fiber-optic connectors

FC connectors for terminating cable assemblies are made with polarization-maintaining fiber and 80-micron outside-diameter specialty singlemode fiber. Options for fiber end finishes include PC, spc, apc, and antireflection coatings. The active alignment method is used to ensure the required extinction ratio of each polarization-maintaining connectorization.
