ST-style adapters

The Series sta ST-style adapters offers low-light-loss adapters in a rugged, heavy-duty metal housing. Three types of sleeves are available: a polymer sleeve for multimode fiber, a metal sleeve made out of phosphor bronze for multimode and singlemode applications, and a ceramic sleeve made out of zirconia to meet ultralow-loss requirements of singlemode applications. All types meet eia/tia specifications for insertion loss and retention force. According to the company, the performance of the adapter does not significantly change after repeated connector matings or over a wide temperature range.
