XKL, LLC has added the DXM10-4 and DXM10-2 platforms to its DarkStar line of DWDM optical transport systems. As with other elements of the DarkStar family, the two new systems are designed for use by enterprise network managers to light dark fiber networks.

The XKL DXM10-4 and DXM10-2 systems are designed for use by smaller enterprises and others who need only four or two (respectively) ports of connectivity. The systems are intended to lower the barrier of entry for enterprises who previously may have considered optical networking via dark fiber beyond their reach, XKL asserts.

Our DXM10-4 and DXM10-2 provide a plug-and-play solution for lighting dark fiber, without the capital expenditure commonly associated with the cost of large-bandwidth project commitments," states Len Bosack, CEO of XKL.
