AboveNet lowers latency on FinanceNet fiber-optic routes
Bandwidth provider AboveNet Communications says its FinanceNet Platform, which includes routes between Slough and London, has tested at below 220 microseconds latency one way.
AboveNet’s London network extends from Basildon to the Docklands in the east, through the City and West End to Slough in the west.
“Our lowest latency ever on this route is testament to the ongoing investment AboveNet has made to provide ultra-low latency connections to the financial communities. Our purpose-built fiber-optic network has enabled us to provide business critical solutions to some of the world’s largest financial organizations for the last ten years,” said Brett Johnson, vice president, business development for AboveNet in Europe.
