Fiber-optic modem

OSD155 fiber-optic modem suits industrial links, secure communications and access systems. It features half-duplex operation over a single optical fiber. A pair of short-haul RS-485 modems and a simplex fiber-optic cable form a link that replaces twisted-pair extension cables. The modem operates over 2 km of multimode fiber and over at least 10 km of singlemode fiber.
