Fiber-optic adapter

Model 450 DS-3 fiber-optic adapter provides a point-to-point 44.736-Mbit/sec data link for an M13 data channel. To reduce jitter, the adapter retimes all data passing through the fiber link before transmitting the data to the receiving DS-3 equipment. Via singlemode fiber, it can extend a carrier-provided DS-3 link distance to 30 km. Features include loopback and a built-in link test.
