The 15T and 15R fiber-optic module set enables simplex or full-duplex transmission of 20-bit-wide parallel data. Transmission is via one fiber-optic cable, at rates from 150 to 1200 Mbaud. The modules support distances from 5 to 1000 meters when FDDI-grade multimode fiber is used and distances to 10 km when singlemode fiber is used.
