Video/audio transmission system
The 1715 VC video/audio transmission system allows the transmission of 32 video signals over one singlemode fiber. Several 155-Mbit/sec synchronous data streams can be multiplexed together and then transformed into an optical signal to be transmitted over a fiber. Applications include regional and nationwide contribution and primary distribution networks, interconnection of cable-TV headends for TV-channel exchange and security, and feeder networks for fiber-in-the-loop networks.
