MARCH 7, 2008 -- Net Insight (search for Net Insight) has received a further order from the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) to upgrade and expand the Eurovision Nimbra network, mainly to support the TV feeds from the Olympic Games in Beijing.

The order contains an upgrade of the Eurovision backbone network with Net Insight's Nimbra 680 switch as well as more Nimbra One and Nimbra 340 access nodes. The upgrade is initially driven by large requirements from the major TV broadcasters in Europe to cover the Olympic Games in Beijing. The order will be delivered during the first quarter 2008.

"It is an honor to have been trusted for many years by Eurovision for the technology transporting feeds from major mission critical news and sport events around the world", says Fredrik Trägårdh, CEO of Net Insight.
