DECEMBER 8, 2008 -- RAD Data Communications (search for RAD) today announced that it has broadened its portfolio for the North American market with the introduction of the PL-400 CWDM/DWDM mux.

According to the company, the PL-400 CWDM/DWDM Mux is a cost-effective and flexible access/transport device for multiplexing up to eight high-speed services, including storage, data, voice, and video, in any mix over fiber, with each service configured independently.

Supporting both CWDM and DWDM technologies, the PL-400 is ideal for enterprise campus environments as well as for service provider delivery of high-bandwidth services, say RAD representatives.

With its variety of SFP interfaces and stacking capability, the PL-400 provides an economical pay-as-you-grow architecture.
