Polarization controller

PolaRite polarization controller con verts an input light of an arbitrary polarization to an output light of any polar ization. This 1 ¥ 1 ¥ 4-inch device has neither intrinsic loss nor backreflection and is insensitive to variations in wavelength and fiber. A 1 ¥ 1 ¥ 3-inch inline version can be inserted into a fiber-optic system without having to disconnect any part of the system. A connectorized PolaRite controller serves as an adapter to solve interconnection problems of PM fibers. It enables standard singlemode fiber connectors to be used to interconnect PM fibers, without having to align birefringent axes. Connecting the polarization controller to a polarizer turns the controller into a variable attenuator for both PM and standard fiber systems. The polarization controllers are priced from $300, depending on quantity and connectorization.
