Mechanical fiber-optic switch

The 2 ¥ 2 mechanical fiber-optic switch features an optical transition time of less than 1 ms and -25- and -55-dB back reflection for multimode and singlemode fiber, respectively. Insertion loss is less than 1.0 dB and repeatability is less than ۪.02 dB. The 70 ¥ 36 ¥ 16-mm switch is used for signal routing, source and detector selection, and laboratory and field applications. It is epoxy-free in the optical path.
