WAVELENGTH-STABILIZED PUMPS

Aug. 1, 2000

OptiLock wavelength-stabilized 980-nm pump lasers are for use in long-haul and metropolitan DWDM systems. The OptiLock laser incorporates polarization-maintaining fiber to offer wavelength locking for EDFA applications. As channel counts continue to increase in DWDM systems, it is critical that wavelengths do not unlock as a result of handling, aging, or inevitable changes in fiber orientation. OptiLock pumps are available in powers ranging from 90 to 200 mW.
