July 18, 2006 Hanover, Germany -- Pandatel AG, an Ethernet equipment provider from optical transport to last-mile connectivity since 1987, today announced the completion of operations consolidation in Germany. The company closed two out of its three sites and merged operations with the headquarters, now located in Hanover.
Pandatel was operating in three locations in Germany before the announced restructuring started in December 2005: Hamburg as the headquarters with the majority of employees in production; Hanover as R&D center focusing on next generation Ethernet products, and Eisingen, the former Lightmaze location, for R&D of optical transport products. Multiple locations with small functional groups makes communication difficult, operating cost high, and confusion for customer support.
"I'm pleased to see the well-structured and centralized R&D, customer service, and finance being established and operational at our new Hanover headquarters within such a short time", comments Dr. Dan Yang, CEO of Pandatel AG. "The completion of the shutdown of our Hamburg and Eisingen facilities means, from now on, we can really start to concentrate our effort and strength on increasing productivity, improving delivery, and meeting customers expectations".
