May 2, 2005 Palo Alto, CA -- The Fiber Internet Center (FIC) announced that it has installed a high-speed fiber-optic Internet connection for Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners (BSSP), an advertising and strategic marketing company located in Sausalito, California. The fiber connection is 55 miles from FIC's Palo Alto offices and connects to its 300 mile fiber reach, installed around the San Francisco Bay area.

"We are excited to be able to provide a high-speed fiber Internet connection to allow BSSP to better communicate with their clients. Sausalito has some unique requirements that we were able to overcome in order to deliver our flat rate, fixed-price fiber services," comments Gus Sanchez, co-founder of the FIC.

"We have been looking to increase the speed of our Internet connection as our company has grown and added new, national clients," comments Mark Ruder, director of IT and engineering at BSSP. "We create digital marketing solutions for clients like MINI USA, Sun Microsystems, Lucas Arts, and Coca-Cola. We need to ensure optimal performance for our communications, which now include video conferencing and digital asset management. The fiber link with the Fiber Internet Center has given us a reliable connection much improved over T1's, bonded SDSL, and cable modem links."
