Transbeam expands market presence with Level 3’s fiber-optic network

AUGUST 25, 2010 -- Level 3 Communications Inc. has expanded its service relationship with Transbeam Inc., a provider of voice and data services, to include transport services to Boston and later to Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.

AUGUST 25, 2010 -- Level 3 Communications Inc. has expanded its service relationship with Transbeam Inc., a provider of voice and data services, to include transport services to Boston and later to Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.Under the terms of the agreement, Level 3 will provide Transbeam with fiber connectivity for services, or a fiber-optic network, in the Boston area, with later expansion planned to Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. by the end of 2010.

“Our wholesale and enterprise customers depend on efficient and reliable communications services in order to remain competitive in their respective markets,” says Marc Sellouk, chief executive officer of Transbeam. “Working with Level 3 has enabled us to provide our customers with a premium network that will help drive their businesses forward, and we are pleased to expand our relationship with Level 3 and leverage their scalable fiber-optic network to increase our market presence in Boston, Philadelphia, and D.C.”

Since 1996, New York City-based Transbeam has offered such integrated communications systems, such as carrier grade Ethernet, hosted private branch exchange (PBX), and customized data delivery.

Level 3 leverages its fiber-optic network, metro assets, and sales and sales support organization to deliver services to enterprise customers and service providers throughout the United States.
