AUGUST 4, 2010 -- BTI Systems says that Consolidated Communications has deployed the BTI Systems 7000 Series packet-optical platform to keep pace with the increase in demand for HDTV, voice, and data bandwidth required by their residential and business customers accessing its regional Illinois network.
“BTI Systems delivers capacity, scalability and a cost-effective solution that was easy to deploy and operate,” said Troy Conley, senior manager, Network Engineering for Consolidated Communications. “As we look to continue expanding our services and infrastructure, the BTI 7000 Series will play a crucial role in helping us keep pace with evolving bandwidth demands.”
The 7000 Series gear lights a DWDM, 40-channel capable, 500-mile circumference ring and supports Consolidated Communications’ MPLS core network.
BTI recently added the 7200 Metro Services platform to the 7000 Series portfolio.
