Teleste signs FTTX framework agreement with HOT Telecom in Israel

AUGUST 3, 2010 -- Finnish equipment supplier Teleste says it has won an exclusive FTTX equipment contract from HOT Telecom in Israel. The total value of the framework agreement is estimated to reach EUR 16 million within four years.

AUGUST 3, 2010 -- Finnish equipment supplier Teleste says it has won an exclusive FTTX equipment contract from HOT Telecom in Israel. The total value of the framework agreement is estimated to reach EUR 16 million within four years.

Teleste says the large-scale FTTX upgrade program will cover 2 million homes passed. It will start by changing the architecture from hybrid fiber/coax to “very deep” fiber to enable higher capacity for new services, including up to 100-Mbps high-speed data, VOD, telephony, and HDTV.

This agreement involves Teleste’s HDO headend product family as well as the AC800 and CXE880 optical FTTB nodes.
