NOVEMBER 4, 2010 -- Optical Cable Corp. (OCC) announces its NEMA 4X line of fiber-optic enclosures designed for use in extreme environments, including virtually any industrial or outdoor location that could compromise cable connection integrity.

With NEMA 4X, important data connections are protected against corrosive materials, caustic cleaners, and external applications subject to windblown dust, rain, sleet, snow, and splashing water exposure, reveals a company representative.

Constructed of molded fiberglass-reinforced polyester material, the enclosures are indoor/outdoor rated cabinets for patching and/or splicing 12 to 96 fiber ports. The enclosures are available in four sizes and are covered by a 15-year out-of-the-box warranty.
