TeliaSonera International Carrier taps Net Insight for media contribution network

NOVEMBER 23, 2010 -- Swedish systems house Net Insight says it has signed a deal to provide TeliaSonera International Carrier with its Nimbra platform as part of TeliaSonera’s expansion of its media contribution network in Sweden.

NOVEMBER 23, 2010 -- Swedish systems house Net Insight says it has signed a deal to provide TeliaSonera International Carrier with its Nimbra platform as part of TeliaSonera’s expansion of its media contribution network in Sweden. The network will transport media traffic from sports and event arenas in Sweden.

The order value exceeds 15 million SEK.

TeliaSonera International Carrier, provides its Media Connect for Occasional Use service and permanent connections to its global fiber network. The service is targeted to broadcasters, production companies, and events and is designed to meet the quality demands for live sport broadcasts.

TeliaSonera International Carrier is now expanding its Nimbra-based national media contribution network with 10-Gbps capacity links to transport HD video from Swedish sports and event arenas.
