reltec Corp. (Cleveland, OH) was selected to provide its Synchronous Optical Network (SONET) OC-3 (155-Mbit/ sec)/OC-12 (622-Mbit/sec) access systems to Centennial de Puerto Rico (Puerto Rico), a wholly owned subsidiary of Centennial Communications Corp. (New Canaan, CT). Centennial will incorporate the reltec osiris broadband access multiplexer into both its personal communications services and wireline network operations on the island, enabling Centennial to provide multiple services on the same platform.
