DWDM modules

These DWDM modules are designed to enable high-capacity 100-GHz WDM systems to increase bandwidth easily. Assembled using dielectric thin-film filters in a proprietary package with four, eight, 16, or higher channel counts, the DWDM modules have high thermal stability that does not exceed 0.008 dB/C. They also have low insertion loss, according to the manufacturer, and high adjacent and non-adjacent channel isolation across entire wavelength and temperature ranges. The guaranteed polarization-dependent loss is 0.1 dB. The modules do not require the complicated temperature-control circuits needed in other technologies used to achieve 100-GHz channel spacing. The optical paths contain no epoxy.
