DWDM amplifier

The SystemReady DWDM amplifier subracks provide ۪.5-dB flat gain profile for at least 30 nm in the conventional EDFA (1550-nm) and EBFA (1590-nm) wavelength bands. It has an integrated automatic gain flatness control to prevent large gain difference among the channels if the amplifier input level changes, as when DWDM channels are dropped. The amplifier can accommodate 10 times more (or fewer) channels to be added (or dropped) without affecting amplifier output gain profile.
