Analog/intercom multiplexer

The TC8000X is a 24-channel analog/intercom fiber-optic multiplexer that supports voice bandwidths from 300 Hz to 3.4 kHz. It is frequently used in telemetry and SCADA applications. The intercom interface is for 4-wire voice communication (handsets) and the analog interface is for FSK applications. Since the device digitizes the analog and voice signals (converts to PCM), voice quality does not degrade over extended distances, according to the manufacturer. Distances to 30 km are typical over singlemode fiber, 4 km over multimode fiber. Power redundancy is standard, optical redundancy is optional. Fiber-optic connectors are ST. FC is optional.
