Metropolitan DWDM

The Metro DWDM is designed specifically for use in metropolitan systems. The device is based on the company`s planar arrayed-waveguide grating technology to achieve typical insertion loss of 3 to 3.5 dB, independent of channel count; a smaller package, with a maximum height of 17 mm; and reduced power consumption. According to the manufacturer, the device offers good crosstalk characteristics, Bellcore-1221-qualified reliability, and mass-producibility.
