April 18, 2005 Hackensack, NJ -- UV15-7 is a one-component, optically clear, non-yellowing UV curable polymer developed by Master Bond, a provider of advanced adhesives, sealants, coatings, and potting technology. According to the company, the polymer, a 100% reactive system containing no solvents or other volatiles, cures almost instantaneously when exposed to a UV light source of adequate wavelength.
The company says UV15-7 is an easy-to-apply, low viscosity liquid that is not inhibited by air and that cures at room temperature. According to the company, the polymer produces tough, durable bonds, providing excellent adhesion to a range of substrates, including glass, iron, polyester films, and polycarbonates, while offering superior chemical resistance and electrical insulation properties. Upon cure, the polymer has a shore D hardness of 60 and an elongation of 6-8%.
UV15-7 is available in 1/2 pint, pint, quart, gallon, and 5 gallon containers, as well as in syringe applicators, for ease of application.
